The Miracle of Time

So many times we down play the things that God can do for us.  We put Him in a box and discredit how amazing he truly is. We allow Satan to swoop in and give us fear and we begin to doubt the power of God, when he blatantly tells us that he can do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we can ask of think (Ephesians 3:20). When we doubt God’s power, we limit the things he can do in our lives.

John 2:1-11 tells of Jesus’ first miracle in Cana in Galilee. It is a common Bible story, so I won’t go into too many details, but as a Christian, most of us know that Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding, HOWEVER if you don’t know (or need a refresher of)  the story, stop now and go read the scripture!

*Disclaimer, the following replay of events is my interpretation with a little 2015 hip hop humor!

Long story short, Jesus and Mary were at a wedding, and they ran out of wine at the reception. Jesus told the disciples, you see those containers, fill them up with water. Jesus hit the “whip and nae nae” and bam, the water was turned into wine.  He had his disciple send some to the groom, and the groom said, “My, my, my, this is some good wine, we usually serve the best wine first, but you kept the good stuff till the end”. And there we have it, the party continued and Jesus saved the day!!

Well of course Jesus saved the day; he completed a task that usually takes YEARS, at the snap of a finger.  Jesus made the BEST wine for these people at the drop of a dime.  So what makes you think that the Lord can’t do this for you too? The things that you have prayed for can come to you in an instant, when you can trust God and trust His timing.

We know that God’s timing is perfect and we know that He has our best interest at heart, so let God out the box that you have put Him in and allow the Miracle of Time to work in your favor! Stop complaining to God about how big your problem or situation is, and let your problem and situation know about how BIG your God is. Give God the credit that He is due, and watch Him work in your favor and exceed all of your expectations.  God already knows what He has in store for you (Jeremiah 29:11) and He will provide every need…. IN HIS TIME!!!
