Have you ever been in a place that you were so dis-attached from God that you feel there is NO WAY that He still loved you? Have you been at a place in your singleness that you took advantage of the worldliness presented to you, yet you felt the love of God, but you were too ashamed to praise him for protecting you. If you have ever felt like this, its natural. We are ALL sinners that fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), but even in our most ratchet, our most unholy, our most displeasing moments, God wants us to commit our lives to Him, and live for Him!
The story of Hoesa, is a very powerful story (Go read Hosea 1-3)! Hosea was a man of God, a man that preached the word, a man that lived to serve God, yet God told him to marry a prostitute. Thus, Hosea married Gomar, a promiscuous woman, and he loved her. She left home, saw other men, yet Hosea still loved her. His love for her never failed, it NEVER died! All he wanted was his wife to come home and love him in the way that he loved her! In chapter 3, the Lord sends Hosea to get his wife and take her home. Some people have never heard this story, but the love that Hosea showed Gomar, was the same type of love that Jesus shows us. We fail Him daily, yet he STILL loves us!!!
Just as Gomar was a prostitute, we may not physically sell our bodies, but when we entertain the ways of the world and turn our back on God, we are selling ourselves to Satan. We are quick to turn up, quick to party, quick to fornicate, quick to turn our back on the Will of God, when all he wants is for us to serve him fully in the midst of our singleness. He wants us to be obedient to His will and crave him like he craves us!
We serve a God that loves us in spite of our mess! He loves us in the midst of our turn up! He loves us just as Hosea loved Gomar. The Lord’s love for us is more faithful than any fulfillment that worldly activities can provide!! His love for us is undying and unfailing yet we run from the one thing that is very consistent in our lives.
As a single man or woman, remember that God wants you! He wants to bless you, He wants to show you EVERYTHING he has in-store for you! God wants you to be great, He wants you to live your life according to His will and His ways. Even though you stray away, God still loves you and He wants you to love Him more than anything. He wants you to give up on the ways or the world, and trust His plan for your life! Just as Hosea gave Gomar chance after chance to get it right, the Lord gives us chance after chance as well.
Cling to God’s undying love! Commit your life to serving God fully and allowing him to be the head of every aspect of your life, and watch your life change. Watch Him work things out for your good and in your favor.
Today I pray that everyone that reads this message will learn to LOVE the Lord with all your heart and give up the things in your life that are not of Him. I love you all and I am praying for you all!
